1) WEST ISLAND WALK-IN MEDICAL CLINICS
A walk-in clinic does not require an appointment or an other doctor's referral. Services offered by these clinics are covered by Medicare. You may want to confirm their opening hours. Doctors at walk-in clinics are generally family doctors and may refer you to a specialist.
2) WEST ISLAND MEDICAL CLINICS
Medical Clinics in the West Island are clinics that their doctor's services are covered by Medicare and other services that they offer are not...ex: blood testing, exrays, scans etc. It is advisable to find out if a doctor's referral is required at a medical clinic and these clinics generally require that you make an appointment.
3) WEST ISLAND PRIVATE MEDICAL CLINICS
Private medical clinics offer medical services that are not covered by Medicare. They often have in-demand equipment and testing services that in the medical field generally have a long waiting list such as a colonoscopy. Always verify that the services or procedures you want are available. A medical referral may be required.
